I love it when Wellington puts on a charmer of a day for my outdoor sessions – and I also love it when the boys come out to join their partner for beautiful maternity portraits (after all fellas, you got your lady that way!) Continue reading
As 2014 draws to a close (and as the tradition goes), I like to go back through all my shoots from the year and pick out a very small selection of my favourites. A mere 10 images out of thousands to choose from – no easy task!
But here they are – the images Me Myself & I loved the most… Special moments captured of some lovely people who remind me why I love what I do so much!
I hope you like my selections for 2014, and I look forward to a very exciting year ahead! I hope you’ll enjoy following (or even better being a part of) my journey!
This adorable little munchkin belongs to my best friend. To celebrate and mark the occasion that was Frances turning two, we took her down to the park in a pretty party frock and let her do her thing, while I played Aunty Photographer 🙂
Hard to believe it’s already been two years – without trying sounding old…kids these days, they grow up too quick!!
Addyson (who’s 3) was quite taken by this gorgeous Aqua dress from the studio, and decided that’s what she’d wear for her shoot 🙂
We took her down to the park and played Peek-a-Boo behind the trees, and then out came the BUBBLES! Before some well earned swing and slide time.
Don’t you just love that gorgeous smile?
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you’ve all managed to have a fabulous start to 2014, whether it was restful or productive over the silly season. I managed to have myself a nice wee break, but now it’s time to get back into it… and one of my ‘resolutions’ will to pay my blog more attention this year!
As has become tradition, I like to look back and reflect on some of my favourite images from the past 12 months.
As I thought hard, and eventually whittled down my choices to a mere 10 out of over 2000 images from my library of ‘2013 keepers’, I began to notice a pattern emerging. Relationships seem to have been a strong focus for me in 2013. Capturing love in all forms, whether it’s a young couple about to embark on their next big adventure together, a parent and child’s unbreakable bond, or the love between an owner and loyal pet, each is truly special in their own way. This is why I love doing what I do…. Capturing the emotions of the moment, and preserving that precious memory in time forever!
Then there are the individual portraits, the one’s that tell a story with their eyes and body language. That moment when their guard is completely down, if I can capture that instant, then it’s as if I’ve got a glimpse into my subject’s soul.
I hope you like my selections for 2013, and I look forward to a very exciting 2014 ahead, with many ideas and goals to work on! I hope you’ll enjoy following (or even better being a part of) my journey!
This was my final portrait session for 2011, and as it was a bit of a surprise for the Grandparent’s Christmas… I am only able to publish this post now!
I have to say, it was REALLY hard not to share these adorable photos earlier. Xander just gets more and more cute every time I see him!
It’s a walk in the park! And of course, what Kiwi kid’s childhood is complete without the classic buzzy bee!
