Hi! My name is Angela. I’m an award winning Maternity & Baby portrait artist, with over 20 years’ experience in portrait photography. I offer a boutique photography service, based in my warm and cosy home-based studio in Tawa, just 10 minutes north of Wellington CBD.
I am proud to be an APNPI (Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers’ International) Qualified Newborn Photographer, which means not only do I have the photographic skills, knowledge and experience needed to photograph very young babies, but you can rest easy knowing your precious little person is photographed in the safest ways possible with strict hygiene practices.
I’m also a busy Mum of two (Rosie & Riley) plus a Mini Schnauzer furbaby (who thinks she’s a real baby). I love to travel (hahah not that I have the time these days) and I’m extremely sentimental, which is how I got into portrait photography in the first place… well that, and I didn’t want to do 6th form Maths!
I am so excited you are considering me to be a part of your life’s journey…it’s such an honour to help tell your story and document this new amazing chapter in your life!

Posing a newborn is an art, and I take pride in my knowledge of newborns and handling baby safely at all times. Posing takes time and you cannot rush. I will gently attempt each pose with your baby – but at the end of the day, they are the boss and will let me know if they do not want to be posed a certain way. If this is the case, I will move on to the next pose. I will never ever force a baby into a pose just to get “the shot”.
There are certain poses your baby will always be supported in by either myself or my assistant, and it is only through the magic of Photoshop that these poses can be achieved safely.
If you have any questions about baby safety – I encourage you to ask! I want you to feel 100% confident in your choice of a newborn photographer!
